Stuffed Bell Peppers Recipe

  • 6 large bell peppers
  • 1 cup cooked rice

  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off of the bell peppers and remove the seeds and membranes. Place the peppers in a large baking dish.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat until fully cooked. Add the onion, garlic, tomato, zucchini, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 10 minutes.
  4. Stir in the cooked rice and shredded cheese. Spoon the mixture into the bell peppers, filling them to the top.
  5. Bake the peppers in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the peppers are tender.
  6. Serve the Stuffed Bell Peppers hot, garnished with fresh herbs or a dollop of sour cream, if desired.

Tip: For a low-carb version, try using cauliflower rice instead of traditional rice.
